Workforce Development

The Economic Development Council, a division of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, specializes in assisting business expansion and relocation for companies that provide higher-wage jobs and that sell goods and services beyond the local market.  Another essential role for the EDC is supporting and fostering an environment that enriches the workforce available to local employers.  This involves facilitating connections between employers and educational institutions, as well as linkages to training and recruiting resources.

Industry Services

The Economic Development Council is a division of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce. It is the only formal organization in Manatee County with the responsibility of retaining and attracting "targeted" industries to the community. The EDC is funded by local businesses and government and is charged with the promotion of economic stability in Manatee County.
